DESCRIPTION:Join us for a magical night of music under the moonlight and take a stroll on the MacArthur Beach Boardwalk with Jack-o-lanterns lighting your path – all created BY YOU\, our community! Stroll along the pumpkin-lit boardwalk from 6pm-9pm to see the amazing carved pumpkins on display. This family friendly event will feature festive activities for all ages including viewing animal artifacts and a mystery box activity from our education team. This event is free to Friends Members\, event entry is $5.00 per person for non-members. Bring a carved pumpkin for the boardwalk\, get in free! Gates open at 6:00 p.m.\, live music from Peter Troup and the Coral Rummer Band from 6:30 to 8:30pm with a 15-minute intermission of star and moongazing on the boardwalk. Please note: the boardwalk is 1/3 mile long\, wear comfortable shoes\, trams will not be running at this event. \nWe invite you to bring in a carved pumpkin for the Pumpkin Stroll. Anyone who wants to contribute a carved pumpkin should drop it off between 10am-3pm on the day of the event. One person/family may submit multiple pumpkins. Submitted pumpkins must be family-friendly (no politics\, no religion\, no offensive language\, etc.).

DESCRIPTION:Are you under 18 years of age and interested in helping our environment\, the outdoors\, making friends and earning community service/volunteer hours? If so\, Junior Friends is for YOU! \nMembers are 6th – 12th grade students whose purpose is to support the Park through activity and special event development. \nMeetings will be held from 11:00AM-12:00PM every first Saturday of the month starting in October! \nCommunity Service Hours are awarded.

DESCRIPTION:Beach Cleanups\nJoin us for a few hours of sun and surf and help keep MacArthur Beach State Park clean. Beach cleanups help remove trash which might otherwise end up endangering sea turtles or shorebirds. Participants will receive gloves and buckets. Please bring a reusable water bottle\, hat and sunscreen. Community service hours will be given upon request.

SUMMARY:MacArthur Under Moonlight (MUM) Concert Series - Lubben Brothers
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a magical night of music under the full moon. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.\, live music from 7 to 9:00 p.m. with a 15 minute intermission of stargazing (or moongazing) on the boardwalk. Free to Friends Members and one guest\, $5.00 per person non-members. \nThe Lubben Brothers is an acoustic group made up of triplet brothers\, Michael\, Tom\, and Joshua. Their younger brother\, Isaac (17)\, joins them from the suburbs of Chicago whenever possible. The brothers specialize in tight vocal harmonies\, as well as a unique blend of folk instruments including banjo\, mandolin\, tin whistle\, accordion\, hammered dulcimer\, and fiddle. Classically trained at a young age\, their modern songwriting style incorporates folk roots with complex pop ideas.
