Beach cleanups help remove trash which might otherwise end up endangering sea turtles or shorebirds. Participants will receive a free 2026 Great American Cleanup shirt and will be provided with gloves and buckets. Please bring a reusable water bottle\, hat and sunscreen. This family friendly event will feature festive activities for all ages including viewing animal artifacts and a mystery box activity from our education team. This event is free to Friends Members\, event entry is $5.00 per person for non-members. Bring a carved pumpkin for the boardwalk\, get in free! Gates open at 6:00 p.m.\, live music from Peter Troup and the Coral Rummer Band from 6:30 to 8:30pm with a 15-minute intermission of star and moongazing on the boardwalk. Please note: the boardwalk is 1/3 mile long\, wear comfortable shoes\, trams will not be running at this event. \nWe invite you to bring in a carved pumpkin for the Pumpkin Stroll. Anyone who wants to contribute a carved pumpkin should drop it off between 10am-3pm on the day of the event. One person/family may submit multiple pumpkins. DESCRIPTION:MacArthur Beach State Park will be hosting the 2025 International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday\, September 20th from 8:30am-12:00pm. \nMacArthur Beach is excited to host the International Coastal Cleanup in partnership with Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful\, which includes a removal of litter from our public spaces – neighborhoods\, roadways\, waterways\, parks\, and schools. You’re invited to be a part of this local and global beach cleanup event!  The cleanup will take place on our beach on Saturday\, September 20th from 8:30am-noon. No pre-registration is required; just sign in when you come to the event. Free event t-shirts will be given out to early participants (first-come-first-served). Participants will get free entry into the park\, please plan to meet at the amphitheater. This event also counts towards Park volunteer and student community service hours. See you there! \nThe International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) is the world’s largest\, volunteer effort to clean up the marine environment. DESCRIPTION:MacArthur Beach State Park is excited to host the Plein Air Palm Beach Art Show! The Park is partnering with Plein Air Palm Beach\, a local group of “plein air” artists (the practice of painting outdoors while the subject is in full view). Local artists drew inspiration from scenes all around the Park including the kayak launch\, boardwalk\, trails\, and beach. The artwork will be on display in the Nature Center Theatre from February 6th – March 10th. Be sure to stop by and view the beautiful showcase of work.
