DESCRIPTION:Friends of MacArthur Beach is hosting a Vertical Oyster Garden Workshop on Saturday\, August 8th from 10am to noon at the park’s North Pavilion. This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to the role oyster gardens play in supporting cleaner waterways\, healthier habitats\, and stronger coastal ecosystems. \nThe workshop will be led by Tom Twyford of the West Palm Beach Fishing Club and the Palm Beach County Fishing Foundation. \nSpace is limited to 25 participants\, and registration is required. DESCRIPTION:Beach Cleanups!\nJoin us for a few hours of sun and surf and help keep MacArthur Beach State Park clean. Beach cleanups help remove trash which might otherwise end up endangering sea turtles or shorebirds. Participants will receive gloves and buckets. Please bring a reusable water bottle\, hat and sunscreen. Community service hours will be given upon request.
