MacArthur Beach State Park offers exciting and rewarding career opportunities and internships. Available positions and links to application instructions are listed below. Thank you for your interest in our Park!

Nestled on an Atlantic Ocean barrier island, John D. MacArthur Beach State Park is the only state park in Palm Beach County. The State Park was established in 1989 to protect a diverse and undisturbed subtropical coastal habitat from development. It is an environmental treasure which has been preserved for present and future generations to experience. With 1.6 miles of pristine beach, swimming, snorkeling, and much more to discover, the possibilities of exploration and fun is endless. The purpose was and is still today, to protect a very rare and spectacularly beautiful piece of Florida’s southeast coast.

Founded in 1990, “Friends” is a State of Florida Citizen Support Organization (CSO), and a 501(C)(3) non-profit corporation. Our mission is to generate supplemental resources to preserve, restore, and interpret the natural and cultural assets of the Park for present and future generations. This is accomplished by funding Environmental Education programs, special events and programs, community outreach programs, guided tours and communications, special exhibits, interpretive programs, and many more activities which are designed to meet the needs of John D. MacArthur Beach State Park.
