North Palm Beach, FL (March 1, 2023) – MacArthur Beach State Park, Palm Beach County’s only state park, is hosting its annual outdoor festival: NatureScaping from 10am – 4pm this Saturday, March 4.

“We are thrilled to have NatureScaping, our outdoor festival back this year after a 2-year hiatus,” says Veronica Frehm, Executive Director of Friends of MacArthur Beach State Park. “This event is truly about bringing the community together and we are excited to celebrate all that our park has to offer. Whether your interest is in kayaking, fishing, hiking, exploring nature trails, snorkeling, paddle boarding or just picnicking, our park can be enjoyed by residents and guests of all ages.”

During the event, guests can participate in a beach cleanup, rent kayaks and paddleboards, interact with environmental exhibitors, watch a live animal show provided by Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, and collect a rain barrel from Coke Florida.

Through their Rain Barrel Program, Coke Florida donates upcycled syrup drums and conversion kits to local organizations and partners like MacArthur Beach. A rain barrel system collects and stores rainwater from a roof that would otherwise be diverted to storm drains and streams. The rain barrels can save homeowners an estimated 1,300 gallons of water each year per barrel, and the collected water can be reused for lawn care, gardening, washing cars and other non-drinking water needs.

NatureScaping 2023 activities include:

Family Fun –Young environmental enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy activities in the Kids Zone, which will include face painting, arts and crafts (create a shell necklace and fish print!), and a scavenger hunt. Families can also join in a beach cleanup and watch the live animal show presented by Busch Wildlife Sanctuary.
